My  solo Project

Hanging  live

Hanging Live project came up in 2014 , just a few months after i got my PANart Hang drum.

The instrument and the sounds created another way of thinking inside me.

after 13 years of being busy with drums and percussion, A new way of making music is not always the easiest to start, but while playing for myself, the sounds just resonate and i went deeper and follow the instrument.

A lot was changing, From Drums to only Handpans and as i start finding my own taste, the information came fast.

Now, located in Basel, CH

At 2014 came my firs self made CD where i play 3 instruments from different regions:

Hang - Switzerland, Europe

Djembe - Senegal, Africa

Darbuka - Middle East

My way of thinking and what i like to present with this CD is, as the instruments which are from different continent could talk nicely with each other, so are we, the humans, can talk nicely and lovely with each other, does not matter where we came from.

Speaking instruments, rhythmical experience.

As a normal conversation, there is a question and an answer.

an instrument can not think but it will expose us into to our own interpretation.

Hanging in the Desert

Hanging in the desert is a very special CD in my opinion.

A Hang-Solo CD. After coming back from India with full new inspiration from my Tabla teacher and trainings and the philosophy of making music, i started immediately to work on Hanging in the desert CD. (the picture on the CD is the desert of Rajastan, India)

After releasing this CD by myself and with little help of my friends of course, i started to give concert in different kind of events as a solo Hang player.

New World

New Instrument - New world

The Amazing Assachan from showed me a new face of the Handpans.

2016, i was recording in a professional studio in Switzerland and thanks a lot to Ajja S.F. Leu for sound-mastering!

This CD is very artistic in my opinion, going through different kind of melodies and it has very spherical moments.

Hanging live trio

Hanging Live Trio:

Tassilo Dellers - Bansuri, Soprano Saxophone, Bass Clarinet, Silver Flute

Didine Stauffer - Tabla, Dombak, Frame Drums

                                Hagay Sofer - Hang, Assachan

As i finish playing my Solo concert in Basel, Tassilo came to me and invite me for a drink and we decided to meet and make a Duo. Fast after we had few concerts as a duo, i came up with the idea to call Didine, my Tabla teacher at the moment, to come and play with Tassilo and me.

Her reaction was very positive and she decided to stay with us and to create this free mind Hanging Live Trio
